Upgrading Your Plan
To upgrade from Free to Premium or change teacher plans:
- Go to your billing dashboard
- Click "Upgrade" or "Change Plan"
- Select your new plan
- Enter payment information
- Confirm upgrade
Upgrades take effect immediately. You'll be charged the prorated amount for the current billing period.
Downgrading Your Plan
To downgrade to a lower-tier plan:
- Visit your billing dashboard
- Click "Change Plan"
- Select the lower-tier plan
- Confirm the change
Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You'll retain full access until then.
Canceling Your Subscription
To cancel your paid subscription:
- Navigate to billing dashboard
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm cancellation
You'll keep access until the end of your paid period. Your account reverts to the Free plan afterward.
Updating Payment Method
To update your credit card or payment details:
- Go to billing dashboard
- Click "Update Payment Method"
- Enter new card information
- Save changes
All future charges will use the updated payment method. Past invoices remain unchanged.

Access all your payment history and download invoices:
- Navigate to Billing Dashboard
- Click "Invoices" tab
- View complete payment history
- Download PDF receipts for any transaction
๐ก Tip: Invoices are automatically emailed to you after each payment. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for receipts.

Enhance your account with optional add-ons (available for educator accounts):

โ Billing FAQ
When will I be charged?
You're charged on your billing date (the day you subscribed). Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or annually.
Can I get a refund?
We don't offer refunds for partial months. Cancel anytime to prevent future charges, but you'll retain access until period ends.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) through our secure payment processor, Authorize.Net.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes! All payments are processed via Authorize.Net with bank-level encryption. We never store your full card details on our servers.
What happens when my subscription ends?
Your account reverts to the Free plan. All your stories remain saved, but you'll be limited to 1 new story per month.
